Yes. Verification, your listing and your badge are free, and the badge can’t be bought. The membership is optional: planned at $49.99 a month (under two dollars a day), never per lead, month to month, with your first month back if it isn’t worth it. It pays for promoting Parity, and the homeowners that promotion brings are sent to members. Members also get a fuller page, an email the day a company near you is sold to an investment group with a quarterly report on who owns your competitors, a print-ready marketing kit, your openings posted for techs who want to work for an owner, a yearly pitch of your story to local reporters, a “Meet the owner” post on Parity’s X account, and a vote on where the fund goes. We’re building these now, and nobody is charged until they exist. A free verified owner and a member carry the same badge and record page. Once members are paying, we publish where every dollar goes, including what Parity keeps. The first 25 verified contractors get the membership free for life; it follows the owner, not the company.

That's the point. Your listing was created from public data. It's already live and visible to homeowners. Claiming it takes 5 minutes and converts it from "unverified" to "Parity Verified." The listing is yours to own, we just need to confirm you own the company.

It comes to Parity first, not the public. We tell you the same day, and you get ten business days to make it right. Nothing is published while it is being worked out. Once closed, it counts toward your record: complaints received and complaints made right. A pattern of unresolved complaints pauses your listing, then removes it. The Ownership Record is for hidden ownership, never for a service dispute.

Your Parity Verified status is tied to your ownership. If the business sells to outside investors or a PE firm, the badge is removed and the listing reverts to unverified. The verification is for you as an independent owner, not for the business name.

Angi and HomeAdvisor sell a homeowner's inquiry to several contractors at once, charge about $15–85 per lead by contractors' own reports, and list investor-owned companies alongside independents with no distinction. On Parity the lead is yours and direct, and homeowners see who owns a company before they call.

Your listing is built in the format they read: structured data for your business, service area and owner, verified and dated, plus a plain-text summary written for AI assistants. We will not promise a placement; nobody in this space can prove one yet. The first time a verified listing turns up in an AI answer, we will publish it.

No. Independent owners anywhere in the country can apply. On Long Island we check ownership in person; everywhere else we check by phone and paperwork. Every application is reviewed before anything goes live.
